From the desk of the HFCF Children Feeding and Teaching Ministry Coordinator:

Last April 2025, with generous grant from IDES (international Disaster and Emergency Services, Indiana), we resumed the daunting task started in 2024 of passing he gospel message to the younger generation in needy communities throughout the Philippines. One of the most effective ways of achieving this is by sponsoring feeding programs through our local churches located in these communities (picture below: ‘along the riles /railroad tracks’ children in Pemba, Makati).
We are happy to let you know of the progress of this exciting project! As of August, 2025 (the last month of our 4-month program), twenty-two local churches partnered with us in reaching 1,105 children every week!! A geographical summary of these local churches is as follows: 12 in Luzon, 2 in Metro Manila, 6 in Visayas and 2 in Mindanao. Some of our local churches in Mindanao and in Bicol conducted the program in more than onevsite/church. Several churches reported baptisms among the parents who came with their children, ate with them, listened to the gospel message/stories and then accepted Jesus into their hearts! Praises be to our Lord!
The teachers and pastors involved in these feeding and teaching programs continually express their joyful thanksgiving to the Lord, and to IDES/ HFCF sponsors and donors who all gave to make this ministry possible. Pastor Noel Sagun, our coordinator for children feeding programs at Imacuto, Maramba, Tapel, Cagmanaba churches at Oas, Albay, sent us this message yesterday: ‘Ang masaganang pasasalamat at kabutihan ni Hesus, sa tulong Ng Harvest at IDES, sa mga taong ginagamit upang dumaloy ang mga pagpapala sa mga bata: Patuloy kayo ingatan, gabayan ni Hesus!!’ (May the kindness and goodness of our Lord Jesus Christ overflow into you all at IDES and HFCF, who are used by God to bless these children!)
