Dear brothers and sisters in the Lord,
Christmas greetings from cold and oft-cloudy Lake Stevens, Washington! We moved from New York to Washington state last July to be closer to our eldest son Joash and his family here. As always, we looked up to our faithful God to lead us in all our ways.
The 2nd half of 2025 has been deeply challenging for the Lord’s workers in the Philippines, as three strong typhoons swept our country: “EMONG” in late July, “TINO” in late October and “UWAN” a week later in early November. We had barely reached our halfway point in rebuilding the houses of our brethren (destroyed by “EMONG”) in Anda, Pangasinan, when typhoons “TINO” and “UWAN” hit, leaving even more massive destruction nationwide.
IDES (International Disaster and Emergency Services) once more extended their gracious partnership support to help with this challenging disaster assistance project. We thank you all for your loving, sacrificial donations which helped us reach more than 600 families and eight churches in six weeks’ time in Eastern Visayas, Bicol and Davao. Praise God indeed for His faithfulness! The disaster assistance projects continue, and we anticipate that the work will extend through the first quarter of 2026.
The Board of Trustees has approved the 2026 budget of the Foundation which focuses on our established mission statement: “to seek the lost, disciple/send out the saved, and lift up the brokenhearted.” The budget supports several separate missions: Evangelism/Discipleship missions (supports 40 pastors and five discipleship teams), Children feeding/teaching missions (ten sites reach 500 children weekly), Jail missions (three teams in 5 jails reach 400 inmates monthly) and Disaster/Emergency Assistance missions (through 12 pastor/senior coordinators). We also now support the “Chosen People Ministries” in their global effort to reach the Jews with the Gospel message.
We ask you to prayerfully give and join hands with us as we all obey the ‘Great Commission’ with deeper conviction and fervor. Indeed, and much more urgently now than before, Matt. 9:38 implores: “therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.” PARTNER WITH US IN OUR TASK TO SEND THEM FORTH!
Calvary’s unceasing call beckons to us all,
David and Eleanor Romulo
