MESSAGE FROM THE MANILA BIBLE SEMINARY BOARD OF TRUSTEES

Manila Bible Seminary

JUNE 7, 2017 · PUBLIC

The Members of the Board of Trustees, Faculty and Staff of the Manila Bible Seminary (MBS) are very pleased to inform you of the significant milestones we have achieved as well as the most current developments in the leadership of our great institution.

The SY 2016-2017 closes at MBS with great rejoicing and heartfelt thanksgiving as we celebrate our institution’s 91st founding anniversary. The coming years will prove to be more exciting and increasingly challenging for the entire MBS community as we begin charting the new directions of MBS towards our centennial celebration and beyond.

As a Christian theological institution, MBS has trained Pastors, Sunday School Teachers, and Music Directors and provided as well various training ministries to leaders of the churches of Christ in the Philippines. In recognition of their valuable service to our brethren, the MBS community proudly honored our “heroes of faith” for their dedicated service in propagating the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ and serving in His churches in the Philippines during our 65th commencement exercises on March 25, 2017.

We are proud to announce that on this exact same day, MBS has finally selected an ALL-FILIPINO LEADERSHIP, including its Board of Trustees and Staff. This means that MBS is no longer affiliated with or receiving any funding support from the PMCC-USA. Therefore, all funding support can now be sent directly to MBS or through any forwarding foundations and ministries based in the U.S., Canada and elsewhere. In anticipation of the great work ahead of us and the funding requirements that MBS must meet annually, we will create a Development and Finance Committee in the U.S. that will work directly with MBS in the future.

We would like to express our sincerest gratitude to the Philippine Mission Churches of Christ of Central Luzon Inc., PMCC USA Inc. for their many years of partnership in the ministry and financial support and to Dr. James McElroy for his exemplary leadership during the last five years and for his role in the smooth transition and transfer of leadership of the MBS.

In the interim, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees will serve as concurrent President of the Manila Bible Seminary.

We would also like to thank all those who have been generously supporting MBS over the years to sustain our ministry of providing Christian education and training to those who are willing to serve our Lord Jesus Christ.

We fervently pray for your continuing support and active involvement in our ministry especially now that MBS is under complete tutelage and independent administration of Filipinos.

God bless us all.
