It’s the Love Month: The Harvesters spread God’s love in Imus, Cavite

“To write the love of God above

Would drain the ocean dry;

Nor could the scroll contain the whole,

Though stretched from sky to sky.”

v. 3 of The Love of God by Frederick Lehman, 1917

After the successful HFCF medical mission in Tanza in October 2014, Bro. Rico Puno of the Imus Church of Christ coordinated with Bro. Pol Bernardez so that the next mission would be held in his area.

Bro. Puno is the incumbent president of the Cavite Churches of Christ Ministers Association with membership of 50 ministers in 38 local churches in these parts. He is the senior pastor of the Imus COC with 100-140 members.

In keeping with this ardent request of the Imus COC, the first medical mission of the HFCF for 2015 was held here on Feb. 21, 2015. The event was well attended with 168 patients coming from the community around the Anabu, Imus area, who registered and were all served, namely 70 for medical service, 43 for dental and 55 optical patients. Bro. Puno’s team held a mini van-parade around the community announcing the medical mission offering in the church. Also in this medical mission, the HFCF medical team also gave away free Bibles, courtesy of IDES, to the first 100 patients who registered.

The Harvest medical team appreciates the Imus COC team who assisted in the medical mission for providing them with the manpower and logistics support needed, as well as the kitchen busy bodies that helped quench thirst and hunger. Everyone made this event a success.
