In response to several urgent requests we received from our pastors/coordinators in Bicol, Quezon and Occ. Mindoro, HFCF initiated an early response assistance and has sent more than $ 2,500 to them so they can provide relief bags (rice, canned goods, soup, bread) to 125 families in these locations. PRAISE GOD! (picture below is in Sto. Thomas, Oc. Mindoro, sent by Pastor Lemuel Bas)
We continue to receive more urgent requests for assistance from other locations/churches, and we now ask for your loving prayers and sacrificial giving/donations so we can extend help to more brethren in need. We will need to provide for additional 300 relief bags, as well as funds for medical assistance, repairs/rebuilding and supplies for those whose houses have been flooded/damaged.
We have projected a goal of $ 10,000 which will allow us to meet this challenging need. Please pray for resources as we requested IDES to provide a grant which will help us meet this goal, and for more donors to give for this need. Thank God for several donations which we have received this week. Pass the word around so we can reach more people.
God is present everywhere, even during this disaster… our task is to make Him visible!
