DAY TWO – February 08, 2014 (Saturday)
Our team headed to the Eastern side of Leyte : Palompon COC, then to Candelaria COC under Matag-ob town. It’s about 98 Kms from Ormoc, and we were alerted that it was dangerous to go there because of the rough and slippery roads. It took three hours to reach our destination.
Bro. Bencio Perez, an elder, and Bro. Jhun Bongbong, the minister, welcomed us to Candelaria and showed the damaged church building and homes.
Further east, we visited another damaged church on the Barangay of San Vicente
